Although the memorials in Hingham show a sense of Patriotism, I found there it is not a big supporter of the Red Sox Home Base Program which in cooperation with Massachusetts General Hospital has a proven record of assisting Veterans with PTSD. I participate in the "Run to Home Base" at Fenway Park in Boston each year and travel throughout Massachusetts photographing Veterans Memorials to help gain support for my participation. I recently posted these photos on the Hingham Facebook website and was shocked to read the comment of a local resident who urged residents of Hingham "Not" to support this program. Never before have I has such a negative response to my efforts to save the life of a Veteran. Statistics show we lose 22 Veterans a day to PTSD, I intend to keep doing my prt to save a few.
